1. Emotional Content

By using a low angle shot, you can create an emotional experience within your audience. For example, if you want your viewers to feel small and powerless over the dominant subject on screen, keep the camera low and point it upward. To highlight this powerful effect, have the subject take up the majority of the frame. 

2. Animal or Object Perspective

You can make everyday objects more interesting by using low angle shots. By doing this, you give them perspective in your videos. 

3. Focus on the Ground

By focusing on the ground, you give your audience a completely different perspective. For instance, if you take a low angle shot of a dropped, shattering plate, you can instill an element of suspense. Another example is a victim hiding under the bed from an intruder. By focusing the shot toward the victim from behind the intruder’s shoes, tension begins to build within your audience. 

4. Depth of Field

By placing an object closer to the camera than the focal point, you can create depth of field. Capturing a low angle shot with this technique by getting low to a surface, such as a counter, draws attention to what’s in focus while also providing a great allusion for your audience.

5. Capture the Unpleasant 

Not everything you capture needs to be amiable. There are a lot of unpleasant things on the ground. By capturing them as they fit in your story, you can induce a powerful reaction within your audience.
